Computerized Routing

DATTCO realized the shortcomings in writing the routes for school buses by hand. A pro-active approach to the problem was taken and several different computerized routing systems were investigated. DATTCO selected Mapnet and Mapnet NT from Trapeze of Cleveland, Ohio and investment in its hardware and software. Once these programs were utilized, human errors were decreased. The addresses for students were correct and easily updated in a timely fashion. Information the drivers received became more accurate. The routes themselves became more efficiently mapped, saving the drivers and students time in their travel.

DATTCO’s investment quickly paid off. Mapnet gave dispatchers and drivers better knowledge about their routes. Trapeze is also responsible for redistricting and future expansion and growth calculations.
