At DATTCO we take driver training and the safety of our passengers very seriously. We have recently introduced simulator training to enhance our general driver training program. Our new simulator allows you to customize scenarios to accommodate any experience level, for employment prescreening for new drivers or targeted training for existing drivers.

The customization enables us to challenge our operators with a variety of different dynamics. Vehicle options vary from school buses, transit buses and coaches, to tractor-trailers. Additionally, the software programming introduces changing weather patterns, as well as variable real world stimuli such as traffic signs, cones, pedestrians, motorcycles and other vehicles.

Drivers are put into different environment settings – freeway, suburban or rural – and can have their skills tested in all aspects, including speed control, space management, and braking to lane changing, parking and many other surprise 'events'.

We expect to make our driver standards even better with this new technology and we would like to offer the use of the facility to any interested parties who share our conviction in putting safety first.
