Letter in regards to Joe Mosley, Coach Group
Today Mr. Joe Mosley took a bus load of residents from the Housing Authority New Haven developments to the Holiday Inn senior outing in Wallingford. During his pick up at Howard Avenue a resident became ill. She chose not to attend the trip and got off the bus. We later realized that she left several personal items behind including her wallet and keys. Mr. Mosley returned to the development after dropping our residents to the outing with all of Ms. Hall's belongings in tack. On behalf of Ms. Hall I express my sincerest gratitude to Joe Mosley for his empathy and professional mannerisms. Throughout it all he maintained an endearing smile on his face. Thank you!

Note to Recognize William Rudolph, School Bus Driver
DATTCO would like to recognize William Rudolph of the Middletown yard for his quick steps preventing a dangerous situation from getting worse. William arrived to the yard after a bus charter this past summer and due to a mechanical problem, a fire started underneath the bus. He then took all of the correct safety measures to contact the fire department and also used the on board fire extinguisher to prevent the fire from spreading. We thank William and appreciate his commitment to safety his ability to handle a difficult situation calmly and effectively.

Letter in regards to Kim Parker,
I just wanted to take the time to express my sincere appreciation for my daughter's bus monitor. For the past several years, Kim Parker has been the monitor for my daughter. I am writing this letter hoping that she will be acknowledged for her time, reliability, patience, caring attitude, and the motherly instincts towards Sarah.
Kim has managed to work with Sarah for years while other monitors would only last a few days. I can honestly say that I have complete and total trust that Kim would keep Sarah safe at all time and trust is hard to come by when you have a child with a disability. Just the way Sarah's face lights up whenever she sees Kim and the way she peeks in the van every morning to make sure Kim is there, lets me know that she is an integral part in Sarah's life.
I hope that her dedication towards her job and Sarah does not go unnoticed by DATTCO. Without monitors like Kim, kids with special needs and their families would have much more stressful days just getting to and from school.
Thanks! |

Letter in regards to Giovanni Galaza,
I am writing to express my deep appreciation for one of your kindergarten drivers, Mr. Giovanni Galarza, of Bus# 2531. He is my son's PM driver, and besides being safe and considerate on the road, he is also a genuinely "nice guy" who takes great pains to make the smallest of these schoolchildren feel comfortable and safe. Kindergarten on the bus is a big deal for these little ones (and their parents!), so it is a great comfort to us all when someone treats the children like they were his own. This is not a skill that can be taught; it must come from the heart. He is an exemplary employee and a credit to Dattco. I hope we are fortunate enough to have him drive Michael again in his time at Roaring Brook School.
Thank you very much for supporting an employee such as Mr. Galarza.
Most Sincerely,
Mariane Tuma, Avon CT |

French Teacher, Somers High School
I would like to express appreciation for the services of Mr. Jerry Kostka over the past weekend. He safely transported my French students to and around Quebec City. He was extremely cautious at all times, but especially when the weather wasn't ideal.
Once again, we'd like to thank Jerry and commend him for his service.
Sincerely,
Cheryl Gustafson, |

Note from parent of child from Woodside School
To Whom It May Concern:
I am writing to commend a particular bus driver in our town. I have two children who ride on bus 9 to ECS & Woodside schools. The bus driver is Rose. She is a fabulous driver. She treats the children with respect and they respect her. Every day when she picks up and drops off my children it amazes me how well behaved everyone on her bus is. She treats them as if they were her own children. Another thing I would like to commend her on is her promoting reading on the bus. My children are on the bus for about one hour each day. They have learned to use this time to READ. I thank Rose for this, since she has encouraged it from day one. So, I hope this gets in the right hands and I hope you truly recognize Rose for her outstanding service to the children of Cromwell, route 9. Every September on the first day of school I pray it will be Rose who pulls up in front of my house to pick up my boys. She's great! I do not know her last name but am sure you would know. Thanks Rose for a great job!
Sincerely,
Barbara Valentin |
