DATTCO to Provide Bus Service to Boston’s Logan International Airport

Boston, MA, May 31, 2017: DATTCO, one of New England’s leading passenger transportation companies, is pleased to announce that starting on June 1st, it will be providing daily bus service to Boston’s Logan International Airport from the SouthCoast region of Massachusetts.

The Logan Service is an extension of DATTCO’s existing New Bedford-Boston commuter line. As a result, regular users of this line will benefit from increased frequency of service to Boston on weekends and holidays. The bus will stop at each of the airport’s terminals for drop-off and pick-up. There will be no fare-hikes on existing service; one-way service from DATTCO’s Fairhaven terminal to the airport is offered at an introductory rate of $18.00; parking is free in Fairhaven.

“DATTCO recognized the need for an easy and economical way for travelers from the New Bedford area to get to Logan, and had the capacity to expand its popular New Bedford-Boston commuter line to fulfill this need,” said Steven Martins, New Bedford City Councillor. “This new service provides a much-needed linkage for our community to the airport.”

“I am very pleased to see that DATTCO will now be offering a new bus service from the SouthCoast region up to Logan International Airport,” said New Bedford City Councillor At-Large, Ian Abreu. “As an elected official here in New Bedford, I will continue to advocate for all forms of alternative transportation up to Boston so that our residents always have the option to steer clear of the oftentimes ‘bottleneck’ of traffic we experience heading into the capital city. This will not only help address some of the stressful traffic concerns of routes 24 and or 93, but will also help our environment by taking more cars off the road,” Ian Abreu, IOM, Manager of Business Development & Public Policy, New Bedford Area Chamber of Commerce.

“We are thrilled to be able to provide increased frequency of service on our popular New Bedford-Boston line without increased costs,” said Don DeVivo, President of DATTCO. “This new service provides an easy and economical option for getting to Logan, and our travelers can relax in well-appointed, state-of-the-art coaches, enjoy free Wi-Fi and leave the hassle of driving to us.”

The schedule can be viewed online at www.DATTCO.com, and tickets can be purchased online, or on the bus (riders should be prepared with exact change as drivers don’t always carry change).
